Clio 2
Hi guys, mk2 Clio ph2, d4f it’s got a few issues that I’d like to address. There is a knocking noise coming from around the centre / left side of the car. The only time I notice it is when changing gear and if I come on or off the clutch harshly. There is also a squeaking noise that occurs only in reverse, it happens as I push the clutch pedal down after I have started moving. For example coming out of a parking space, after I’ve started moving and want to stop and start going forward, when I push the clutch pedal down in reverse a loud squeak can be heard, are the two related.
Secondly, when pulling away and the clutch is slipping, I can hear what sounds like a short section of belt squeal as I come off the clutch, is this the aux belt (why would it squeak when I’m coming off the clutch) or is my clutch knackered or contaminated with oil.
