Slicks ok to run at track days?

  200 cup/Btm'd ph1
Are you allowed to run full slicks at track days? I remember a clio 200 on slicks at bedford but think it might have been an instructors own car!

Motorsportvision specifically exclude use of slicks without a cage. No idea if they enforce it though.

Bookatrack also specifically exclude them without a cage. Its because its alot easier to roll a car on slicks after catching curbs.

but unfortunatley, alot of places are demanding a cage now = gay!

the problem with slicks is "if" you're in experienced with them and get a bit over keen and have a high speed spin you can flat spot all 4 (i did this a few years back at donnington) and you WILL ruin them = a few £££ down the pan

you can get a full season out of a set, ok they'll be going off majorly by the end of the season, but they'll still work

we ran ex clio cup Micheln S9B's for a long time (they'd done a race or 2 by the time we got hold of them) and we got a good 4 days out of them
