Riggers' Primera P10 trackcar

  JDM Dc2
This is epically good. This is screaming out for a heart transplant, turbo lump from an 200sx maybe?

I’m now going to have a look on eBay and see what there is out there, got my birthday coming up soon and it would be a shame to ask for mundane s**t when I could have cash monies and a new toy [emoji23]

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm sticking with the stock 'DE as it's too good to bin, it's had the headbuilt with genuine parts, hasnt used a drop of oil since servicing it 1200miles ago with the Cadwell trackday inbetween so it's reliable, I can't turbo any car so this is staying N/A and going to be as light as It can without ruining it for road use, I've got to throw a could of grand at the transmission before power upgrades anyways flywheel, clutch, final drive, diff etc

Wicked!!
I didn't realise the sun strip was that deep, can you see where you're going ??

Yeah man 400mm off eBay haha

I love how virtually every sporty 2.0-litre four pot in the mid-90s made about 150bhp. Astra GSI, Escort RS2000, Golf GTI 16v, Primera GT, Ibiza 16v, 306 XSI, they all seemed to do it.

I never thought of that you're right haha

And this isn't having a single sticker nevermind full liveries haha

  Fiesta ST Stage 3
I did say my mr2 track car would not have any stickers that was until I put it in to the tyres at Castle Combe and now it has lots of stickers to cover the dents :)

I remember this livery the most.

Stuff like this I really like!

I always have a hankering for a MK1 Laguna BTCC but even finding a diesel MK1 Laguna is difficult nowadays. Can’t wait to see what livery you slap on it!![emoji6]

Loving the guttering!! Do you have to clean out the leaves every year too???

So the Exhaust is awesome exactly what i was expecting, if you live in the Northwest and want a custom exhaust, manifolds, downpipes etc take it to Pipewerx! So old one removed -

i got a new japspeed manifold off a mate and the best thing to do was chop it in half and do away with the terrible flange that had a horrendous step inside and the really restrictive 38mm sharp secondries and fit new 2'' swept secondries instead -

mega job, sounds great nice and quiet and just quality.

Along with the adjustable regulator i fitted i thought to fit a walbro 255 for reliability and future mods, compared to the old massive one, more weight saving haha -

went back to see Chris at EFI Parts last night, first run it was even leaner (obviously) than it was with the old restricted manifold and crap powerflow 2'' system, so afew tweaks to the regulator we had nice fuelling, then a further alteration advancing the ignition timing it see great gains and an ideal low 13 AFR, 13bhp and 8lbs ft up almost everywhere aha -

I needed to make a new camera mount as it was too far back and shakey at cadwell in july, so i got a length of 38mm from Pipewerx and made up some end plates and have f0xy weld them on for me, tidy up and abit of paint and voila -

regreased the rear sliders on the carriers as one was seized, taken over an hour to undo this top bolt as it was rounded off so i had to file it to an imperial size and use this method haha, can't get a socket in without removing the brake line -

Thanks haha, i did fall incredibly lucky finding them prefect size, width, centre bore and offset only down the road from me too, want a set of 17'' hockeneins too to replace the 16'' team dynamics next!

Brakes wernt the best at cadwell in the summer so made some cold air feeds, cant get the hose past the wheel so had to put it to the tyre face on full lock then make some air deflectors -

so after all the changes from the past 10 weeks (suspension, less weight, better brakes, more power) the car was awesome, had a full dry day, ended up pushing too hard putting 2 wheels off the curb at church and the brake air deflector bent into the cv boot and has split it but not too bad that i had to change the shaft (got new spares anyways) so will just swap the shaft ad get a new boot fitted, brakes were much better, only pic ive got from the day -

I've put an edit together, couple of oversteer moments to begin with then my best laps i got on camera inbetween batteries dieing and being held up by other cars, enjoy -

Why is it sliding so much? Set-up or tyres? I know Anglesey quite well and those corners aren't that treacherous.

Awesome car though, I love it.

  JDM Dc2
It's suffers abit from understeer as i haven't attended to the lack of negative camber on the front yet (nothing's adjustable) even though it's really low it only has around -1 camber and without having a diff which I was used too for 5 years in the DC2 (and -3 front camber) it feels abit crap on the front end compared, so I've set the rear to compensate with also very little camber and parallel toe to make it lively, into the corkscrew I'm dabbibg the brake to get it to slide down as it's so controllable and fun and probs about the quickest I can get the car to point in the right direction haha

  JDM Dc2
Oulton park was epic on saturday, one of the best trackdays i've done there, hardly any red flags and all 6 of us never had any probles, i just had to change y pads at dinner as i think i have a sticky rear calpier as only one od the rear pads was metal on metal, yellow stuffs fitted expecting it to lock up the rears eben more as it used to lock the rears with bloody eichers haha, thankfully it doesnt lock up anymore than it did and yellows should last longer than eichers haha, will be getting ner rear calipers over the winter.

Just like anglesey, on some corners it really struggles with turn in with only having very little front camber so again i've left it tail happy and it was so fun, and fast when you get just a tiny bit of lift off oversteer and get the nose in, had some big moments mainly the 2 at cascades at the end of the video

Think next year we should have a CS track day as there are so many good and different track cars on here :)
I like the idea of that. I know CS has their event but I'd prefer doing a proper trackday at a proper track (no disrespect to Blyton fans!).

I've emailed Javelin to see what discount they can offer. I stated it would be a track in the middle of the country like Oulton, Donington or Cadwell so it's fair for all members. Also stated it would be either early spring or late Autumn so not to clash with CSF.

If anyone is interested I'll create a threat with a poll for what track to use.
