Well not updated so thought I would put on what I have done over the last few weeks as and when I had abit of time. Not got pictures of everything but it’s starting to come together now. All the underside is painted, heat shields all back on and most of the exhaust system, I have nearly got all the brakes back on just got the front passenger side to bolt back on, the bleed up with new fluid which I will do on Thursday as I have booked 2 days off specially to spend both days on the car. Hopefully in that time I am putting a new power steering pump on, which I’m not looking forward to so if anyone has any tips that would be great. Get the exhaust back on change coolant tank and fluid, do the oil and filter and change the plugs, then install the new induction kit, ktec style with a itg filter and a Marc Bruce battery/filter cover. Also got my tyres put on the 2118s last weekend (been all sat in the kitchen for the last 3 months so the wife is looking forward to them getting put on the car this weekend. Also had the front bumper painted as it was a right stone chipped mess. It needs the wings and bonnet doing 2 but can’t afford that right now. So hopefully after the weekend there might be some pictures of it sat on the floor on its wheels and we can see if it sits good on the grams. I also got some 20mm bolt to hub spacers for upfront. Anyway here are a couple of pics ..........

Well had a busy 3 days on the car and it’s finally back on the ground, still got a few things to do be so pleased it’s back on wheels!! Must say though changing the power steering pump is a right pain.
So things I have got done over the last few days are...
Power steering pump and new fluid
Fresh oil and filter
New plugs
Coolant tank and new fluid
New brake fluid
New induction piping and itg filter
Got the exhaust fitted
Got it on the new wheels and tyres
Fitted the bumpers back on
Still to do.....
Fit the front splitter
Fit the washer blanks when they turn up
Fit the rear lights and badge
Fit the battery cover
Full detail in and out
And various little bits and bobs.
It needs the passenger side front arch painting badly as I think someone has tried to lift it slightly with the wing to get a jack under and it’s cracked the paint but I just want to enjoy it abit now before it’s sat in a body shop for a few weeks having paint. Then once it’s back on the road I will take for a wheel alignment. Can’t wait to get back in it now.

Looks a beauty!!

Not a fan of the black inlet though

Cheers bud. It was more just to tidy it up really as it looked awful and dirty so at least now it’s all clean. I want a cover back on as I think it’s a messy engine so need to source a decent cover.

Wow the result of all your work is amazing. It looks like a brand new car. Fate getting your car back as has been said. I’d love the chance to have my 182 back, it’s one of only two cars I regret selling.

Yeah I no, I just had to have it when I saw it up for sale, it just came at the right time, it’s been hard work but looking forward to enjoying it now.

Loving all this work that your doing and have done to it mate. Hat's off and it shows. Looks great.

Am toying with getting that filter for mine. Had it on my ph1 and really liked it. There's nothing wrong with my ramair equivalent but I like the itg brand/that filter.

Don't forget the little black inserts for the front bumper now it's been sprayed :)

Haha, no I won’t Matthew don’t worry. Was toying with getting some carbon ones but think I will just stick to standard.

Cheers mate, just a shame my paintwork won’t match, that will have to wait a while now, spent 2 much haha. Yeah hoping the filter is good, I just dropped on it on eBay at a decent price and just thought sod it sure it will be ok,

Had that filter or one very similar, can’t say I noticed much difference over the ram air one

Well been a busy few weeks on the car in and amongst. It’s back on the road now and considering it’s not run for the last 8 months it was pretty good, a few little things to sort but nothing major. It’s first outing was on Saturday to the mot station and it passed with no advisories ??. So taxed it and treated it to £40 of v power and went for a little drive. Great to be back in the car, looking forward to tackling the bodywork now and doing all the little bits and bobs instead of been layed on my back under the car painting and replacing stuff!!!!! It also had its first bath in my ownership since I bought it!! It was when washing it I could actually for the first time stand back and look at the car which made me think I wasn’t a massive fan of the fk rear lights it came with so I had the originals and also some ph1 rear lights so decided to swap about and see which I preferred and ended up putting the originals back on. Also gave the interior a quick clean, will give it a proper strip down and shampoo when I have more time. Anyway a few pics now......
