Renault's new fixed price servicing.

  182
Has anyone heard about Renaults fixed price servicing yet??

I heard today, and its good news for us Cliosport owners!!

Renault have fixed the price of all work across their entire car range. This means work on all cars costs the same. So for example, to have 4 spark plugs replaced on any Renault will cost you £49. This is obviously using genuine parts. You cant even get the from the parts department for that price (for a 1*2)!!

It has also slashed the price of a cambelt change. For us Renault sport owners its terrific news!!

Some decent prices on there tbh. Wonder if in the T&Cs anywhere it says renaultsport models excluded. Cos spark plugs for the rest of the range are like £2 and the NGK platinums are around £10..

I spoke to them yesterday and apparently not!! They are covered! They win some lose some I suppose!!

I'm booking mine in!! :D

Timing and aux belt, £399?!?!?!?!?

SOLD!

IS this going to be an ongoing thing, or some sort of temporary promotion?

If it's only temporary it's tempting to get the belts done now at this rate

Thats why you go online and find your closet renaultsport garage. e.g mine is chester on sealand road.

cambelt £399. not a bad price.

probably still use monkeys to do the job though!

All works guaranteed for a year (and after that there's always the law), so red-line the sucker out of the garage and if the car pops, they can wheel it back in and fit you a new engine from their own wallets

ive seen on here people mentioned they have been quote upwards of £800 for a cambelt from renault so thats a massive reduction.

  172,scenic, trafic
So any service apart from the interim is 155, so assuming that doesn't include diesel duel filter etc which is 60 quid on my scenic, am not seeing much saving

Only so long before they put a stop to the 1*2 spark plug thing though I reckon.
Will be interesting to see how/if the specialists react to this.

This is a very good move from Renault. Having owned new Renaults for the last 3 years i have only ever had warranty work carried out by them. Never would i have a service or any kind of maintenance carried out by them but now i will maybe think about it.

I have just phoned Vauxhall as this thread reminded me to book my car in.

£307 for a full cambelt kit which includes idlers and tensioners. Plus they pick it up and drop it off also leaving me a car for the day :)

they are having offers aswell so seems like everyone is.

I still wouldn't use them from what I know of, and have experienced with, main dealers.
If they were so so when they had an open chequebook, I dread to think what this might mean!
BTM will do just fine for me.

  Listerine & Poledo
specialists will do as they're told, unless they want to be part of the nationwide cull of franchises

Most of "us" already charge around £50 for a set of NGK PFR6E10's fitted mate and Renault are £399 for a timing belt change now. I've always been £380 (£280 for a Cup) so I'm not worried as most enthusiasts wouldn't trust the main dealer anyway.

Its too little too late from them if you ask me and I bet they withdraw it by the end of the year.

I wonder if they include the full aux kit for £399, doubt it.

I might take them up on the plugs, the interim service price is not very cheap imo. The only reason I might pay for the interim is to keep the FRSH

Is that £380 for a timing belt and accessory belt?

Took my 197 in a few years ago there for a warranty claim on the climate, just so happened it was on 18k. Come back to pick it up. "Yep reset the climate, that's £150............ Er what for it was in for Climate fault only? We've serviced it as was it was due being on 18k............ Fail. Non RS are 18k, RS are 12. Did I pay? did I f**k!

That is indeed £380 for the timing belt kit, aux drive belt kit, fixings, seals and the knowledge that your car has been treated with the same care, courtesy and respect that i treat my own with.

For additional piece of mind all our work has 12months parts/labour warranty and is covered by our professional indemnity policy to. Service books are stamped, receipts given and you know exactly where you stand with us as we have a no bullshit policy.

If they do cover 172's then I'm going to get renault stamps in the book, no mistake.
