Just ordered my 4 for this year. Being a newbie RS owner, whats the usual CS aproach to this? Any meets? any stands? Any chance to park in a massive group of RS owners and feel a small smug sence of satisfaction?

Anyone going infield this year for collectors parking if they are still doing that (I assume they will be)? I did last year, and although it was good the general public kinda put me off it, leaning on peoples cars, trying to get inside them etc....
It was a great laugh last year and weather was amazing! Different time of year now though so I hope it's good! Camping was so funny too, i'd do that again just for the banter tbh....pimms o'clock!

you have to apply to park infield in the collectors bit. im sure someone will post how to apply nearer the time.

Thats where we stayed last year, it's only a short drive down the road from Silverstone, people who werent parking infield walked it, so it wasn't that far! Good laugh camping though, got to be done

Whittlebury is good. Been there once before and staying there this weekend for the GT's. I would recomend it.

Stayed at Hamilton fields last year, its really close to the track (on the turn off on the duel carriageway to silverstone) its not a proper campsite though just a field with a couple of portaloos only bothered me because i'm fussy and female i guess

Lol yep, had our own corner of the field, which was good. I agree with you about it just being a field though....showers were cold too I hate camping, but it was a good laugh regardless!
They have put on a bit more stuff though for this year:

We are an independent family run campsite with facilities that will include:

• Hot showers

• Regularly cleaned toilets

• Licensed bar

• Catering Marquee

• Security staff on site

• Site manned 24 hours a day

These campsite amenities are for the Renault World Series 2010 only. See other pages for the camping facilities provided for other events.

Notes

We have a few simple rules to help ensure everyone's stay at our campsite is an enjoyable experience as possible.

• This is a quiet and friendly campsite and we are determined to keep it that way.

• Generators and BBQ's welcome.

• Generators and Music to be off by Midnight.

• NO FIREWORKS. Anyone found in possession of fireworks will be immediately escorted off the campsite.

• If anyone is found causing deliberate disturbance or disruption to others during their stay will be immediately escorted off the campsite.

• No Campfires.

• No dogs allowed.

• We will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to property and persons etc during your stay.

• We may take pictures for publicity purposes.

• Any complaints must be made to the management during your stay or must be put in writing.

• Amenities may be changed at our discretion.

• It is assumed that when you book with us you have read, understood and agree with these notes.
