Renault or Magnecor HT's

Whats cheeper renault HT leads or Magnecore? And best place to get em?

Found out earlier my No1 HT Lead had a big split in it, Just checked my car in the dark and and looks like a F**king sparkler
Guess thats why its idling lumpy

magnecores are miles cheaper BUT i have problems with them when its pissing down with rain, they dont have a tight cover over the coil pack like the standard ones do so water somtimes gets in there and causes a miss fire.

Magnecor on mine too.....no probs whatsoever and should last longer due to better construction.

i cant remember for sure , red ones are 8mm and blue ones 8.5mm ???

other way around, blue are 8, red are 8.5

8.5, thicker, supposed to be better, blues cheeper. but half a mm aint worth the extra LOL

Arse I ordered some already...
Guess thats why its been cutting out and idling too low its been running on 3 because theres no spark getting to the plug its just arcing to the rocker cover through the split.
Would that have put extra strain on the belts?

Anything I should know about taking the plenum off? I notice because the engines slightly different the rear plenum bolts dont line up right and theres an odd hex bolt on the rear right and nothing on the left?

yeah because its a formula renault engine it has a different rocker cover

I just bought a second hand set thinking they would be an improvement over standard.

Cool, I dont know why on earth they put these leads back on, you told me they were f**ked ages ago I thought they'd been replaced.
Its been making that tapping sound since I had it back which I now know was the spark
I'll pop down the stealers get a new gasket too
