Hi. i have recently bought a clio 172 cup which badly needs a paint correction to restore it to its former glory. i dont have a machine polisher and know that doing it by hand isnt going to get the job done. is there anywhere you guys would recommend around edinburgh area who wont cost the earth? many thanks in advance. Jamie.

Hi mate. There are a few guys around but not all are really that good nor are they cheap.

I'm happy to give it a going over if you need it. Rather than throw money at someone you have no idea about.

I have about a hundred threads on here if you search. Hate to see people get poor detailing jobs down for a lot of money.

Fire me a PM if you want me to cast my eye over the car.

Just don't take them up on any wrapping any time soon!

I have heard both good and bad stories so thought I would try the detail.
Was speaking with Keith (Signshop) and he was saying there is a couple they have done but he did say it was not all down to them why they peeled off. He was also telling me they do stuff for GrayPaul

It's fine saying it's not down to them as the wrap fails but they always fail, their job is to make it work.

The detailing will be decent although I know of Cermic issues they have had but the wrapping does not have a good rep.

ended up buying a das pro kit from car cleaning website came with merzenza cutting and finishing polish and I bought extra pads and smaller backing plate. spent a few hours on it last weekend and has made a massive improvement. swirls all gone. just need to do the roof and lower door panels then go over it with the finishing polish. glad I gave it a go myself and at least I have the kit now which I can use on the bmw at some stage as well. will give it a going over with a wax to seal it once iv completed it before I tuck it away in the garage over the winter.,
