Rattling just started at high revs ?

I just bin driving and i noticed when i changed gears at high revs i could hear some sort of rattle type noise but only at high revs 6000 and upwards.
When i got home i rev it whilst stationary and when i took past about 60 - 70 on rev counter i could hear a high pitched rattley type noise sounded abit tinny, i know its not a very good description but i just wanted to know if anyone could point me in the right direction of what i could be ?:S
I havnt been able check it futher as i need someone sat in there to rev it.

could possibly be the heat shield matey, mines does this

I used to get a noise that sounds similar to the one you describe in my old 16v. The noise disappeared when I had it decatted, so put it down a knackered cat.

To be honest, it could be anything that has worked loose and is resonating at those particular engine speeds.

It didnt rattle today so thats good i supose.
Still not sure if i should leave it of try and sort it ?
