Radio Control Stalk - Can't find the wire!

I'm attempting to connect my Clio's stalk controller (wheel controls) to my radio, however I cannot find the wire protruding from the steering column at all.
What does it look like?
I own the Clio II (Campus), if it makes any difference.

Is it a standard Clio radio? If so then the wires should be behind the radio? If it's not a standard radio then you'll need an adaptor cable to make the stalk controls work with it
