Pure Motorsport Hillclimb event 13th of July!!!

Our southwest (Padstow) based Renault Sport specialist Pure Motorsport,

is showcasing it's new highly modified Clio sport in Cornwall on July the 12th and 13th at the Lostwitheil based castle Hillclimb.

I am looking to see who is interested in coming along to the event and make a day of it?

I have picked Sunday the 13th to hold the meet as Sunday seems to be the day most people are free (usually), I think the meeting time would be about mid morning 10am but that is still to be confirmed.

This is still only in the planning stages of what will happen throughout the day at the track so you need to keep your eye on this thread for further information about the day.

Obviously there is more than just the Pure Motorsport's Clio running in the event and after speaking to Nik it sounds like one of the best Motorsport events Cornwall has to offer with a wide range of cars and bikes entering the event

Anyway numbers in below so we can gauge how many we can get together please

This Sunday is Tregrehan too with the Cliopreza making its debut. Castle is longer but Tregrehan is usually a bit more varied as there's car clubs in the top paddock.

Come on guys this is on the Devon Cornwall border and a full day out supporting one of our local CS traders/ motorsport teams with a chance to get In and around some of the new products the team are constantly producing for the clios.

Could we get some interested names down to aid the planning part of this.

Unfortunately it seems that if a meet is in cornwall, even if it is only inside by a few miles, nobody else takes an interest. Which is a bit pathetic really.

How far away from plymouth is it?

It says it's an hour from me, so it can't be much different from people Exeter way?

48 minutes from plymouth.
44 minutes from Exeter.

By comparison;
Plymouth - Exeter (for barn owl meets) - 52 minutes.
Exeter - Llandow (for a track day 3 days before CSS) - 2 hours 20 minutes.
Exeter - Castle Coombe - 1 hour 50 mins.
Exeter - Bristol - 1 hour 38 mins.

Oh, and apparently hillclimbs are boring. Which is just hilarious.

Just spoke to Nik and on Sunday the start of the day is about 9:30 so I'm gonna aim to get there for 9:30-10.

Bringing Beth with me so gonna come in the race blue VRS estate instead of the Clio (damn you woman for not liking bucket seats and noise lol) so keep an eye out for that.

I will keep an eye out for the cars I know but I think there will be some I haven't seen before.

Absolutely awesome day, nicks Clio was sounding absolutely amazing! (Videos coming soon)

It's by far the fastest N/A Clio I have seen!

Also the other performance metal on show where pretty rapid, 300+bhp N/A 205s galore lol

Still haven't mastered the new fangled on board camera, or I would have posted some video (Forgot it really, it was still on charge connected to the computer Doh!)

Tammy and I had a great weekend, the car behaved itself really well, I got 2nd in class on Sunday, and Tammy won the Ladies award. A prize every time!
