Prepping/Painting plastic trim? saving time using 2k primer?

  clio 1.4 16v 02
Might Colour code my clio..I am pretty good with a rattle can so might as well have a go at it myself.

To save myself a bit of time I was thinking 2K primer would be a good start to fill the textured plastic to get the plastics flat as poss b4 sanding? have any of you had any experience? any help/advise would be appreciated :)

Thanks

i use a black and decker mouse sander... takes the texture away easy. think they cost about 20 odd quid. id invest in one of them instead especially if you plan to colour code the full car. think 2k primer is the one you need a mask and ventallation for is it not?

Wouldn't bother with 2k primer. Just make sure you use an adhesion promoter before applying primer and make sure the texture is sanded smooth
