Pipercross Aerosol

Hi my new Pipercross panel filter came with a small areosol in the box.

What is this stuff? and when should you use it?

  don't

at a guess id say its cleaner??

probably after 3-6 months or when u think its dirty and needs a clean

doesnt it say on the can or in the instructions?

  Mazda MX5 1.8

sounds like filter lubricant

if the filter is foam then this needs to be sprayed onto the filter before fitting as dry foam is a bit of a sh1tty filter on its own

thats now it was on my piperx induction kit

Its a spray oil so that the filter can actially trap dirt particles more effectively.

Dont over-spray....

Yep, its an oil that you need to put on before you fit it. Look on the PiperX website, should be some more info there

there should be two aerosols, one is the cleaner and the other is the additive that traps the dust.

^^^

The 172/182 pipercross panel filter only come with the oil additive...

The Green cotton filter comes already oiled, but with no additive.

PS Ive been told to use soapy water (fairy liquid) as the cleaner: Does anyone disagree with that?

Omar the Green filter should be cleaned using Green Cleaner..........thats according to the instructions............then oiled..............I wouldnt think soapy water would do it any harm though eh.
