best and probably easiest to use is redsn0w. I have got a guide I sent to a couple of people so check your PM and will detail how you add it. Trust me, it is very easy and well worth it

Yep, done it to mine a couple weeks ago. Works a dream :approve:

Also used Ultrasn0w to unlock.

It's only available on developer account handsets. v3.1b2 was released last night but I'm in no rush to install it.

Righto, I've done it with RedSnow and Ive got Cydia, the phone is syncing with iTunes correctly and all appears well TBQH.

Slight slow down when its locked and I hit the home button to light the screen up so I can slide to unlock but other than that all appears functional.

Thumbs up - so far.

Is there an earier way to view whats available on Cydia? I mean is there a website?

There are many many adverts on Cydia? Can I get rid?


I have Winterboard obviously - anything else essential to allow me to get the best bits from Jailbreaking an Iphone?

"catagorize" gives you the folder possibilities. Have not seen anything about password protected folders though.

Got my new white 3G today. Nice and fresh!

Bought a Diesel leather case for it, too. Not the most practical, but it looks cool and offers protection when it's in my bag and pocket.

I forgot how boring the Springboard looks as standard. Jailbroken again now!

I'm running my 3GS jailbroken for today, not sure if it's worth keeping this way though so I may restore it tonight. SBSettings is very handy but not essential. I've tried several themes but usually revert to the standard theme instead. Any that you would recommend I try?

I like the carbon and aluminum theme best out of the ones I have tried. Not all the icons are changed though and I have not bothered to work out how to fix them myself.

"Cool Brushed" theme on SBSettings to go with it.

ultrasn0w 0.9 has been released today for people who used the redsn0w jailbreak.

Just used it on mine and everything works perfectly. I could not get the purplesn0w to work this morning.
