No temperature readout on the climate control - am i being an idiot or is it broken?

I took a 182 out for a test drive last night that had no temperature readout on the climate control display. The bars were there on the right side for the fan and cold air came out when the AC was switched on, but i couldn't see how to 'set' a temperature for the climate control system.

Am i being an idiot here and hadn't set it properly or is it something that will need fixing before purchase?

It could have been set to minimum, therefore there would be no temperature shown, just a tiny "mini" at the bottom.

Check, and press the red and blue buttons and see if a temperature appears. If it doesn't, there could be a problem with it.
