My new saxo has been picked up and is on its way from Scotland.

I’ve bought it blind from Scotland so fingers crossed it’s not a total shitter!

Should be coming tomorrow night so I’ll update when it’s arrived but here’s a picture on the truck.

Alas it’s not boosted or on bodies but seems a good base.

•Engine Mapped by Russ at RA Motorsport (Perth), 143bhp with Soft Limiter Set at 7250rpm, Hard Limiter Set at 7500rpm. Engine was still pulling strong and climbing but set up safe and very reliable. Still an easy 20bhp + to be had if wanted with further fine tuning.

I've had 2 maritius blue Mk1 saxos in the past, a VTR on the Mk2 VTS wheels, and an original VTS. Both great cars, rev happy little things. Prices seem to have rocketed over the last few years as they all get scrapped for welding or turned into "track cars" and end up upside down in a gravel trap.

I'd love another, but in posidean blue

Yes sorry it was not on track but the gearbox was shot , power steering , head gasket and wheel bearings could have fixed it but thought I would go for something different but for the time I had it the little Saxo was a cracking drive .

Well, what a waste of 3mins that was. Thought it was going to be a vid of you mashing it
