Neo synthetic oil

Firstly sorry if this in the wrong section! i did look to see where was best to put it.

Anyway a work colleague was talking to me about Neo synthetic oil, has anyone heard of this oil? he said to me its used in F1 and he's using it in his gearbox for his kart as its so good, apparently The head engineer of lubrication for NASA invented it and it is brilliant stuff.
Basically said i should run it in my gearbox! i was thinking it might be a bit of overkill and was wondering if it could be used??

Yeah, i was thinking the same just was'nt sure. Its bloody expensive something like 120 for a quartz?? american litre?
Think i'll stick to the recommended stuff.
