Got round to washing the beast yesterday, though halfway through it started to rain. Finished washing her anyway and snapped a quick pic on the camera:

No more updates really. I have the new splitter sitting in the garage awaiting fitting in the spring. Still really enjoying the car. MPG is now up to 38.5. Gonna try and get her dyno'd next month to see just how she compares to the old 200.

I prefer washing in the rain. Nothing to dry out!

Looks great mate. Front splitter is a good choice, any pics with one fitted? Always like the splitters like the FRS mk1.

Lovely, it'll work so well with the colour. Probably the most jealous i've been of a car on the forum in a long time.

Its how they should come from factory IMO, really sets the car apart from the others in the range.

Looks too boy racer IMO.

the fiesta looks spot on as standard, the "beefing up" on the standard cars to look like the st have spoiled its "uniqueness"

thats what i like about the 197/200. Its different with the wider bodywork, like nothing else in the range, yet isn't too in yer face ;)

I think it just looks boy racer on that St is posted above with its slammed suspension and aftermarket wheels. Looks a lot better on standard STs imo.

Splitter looks great Noddie, really noticeable but subtle at the same time.

Delayed. Was meant to come today. It's on the transporter (or whatever). Will be with me in the next few days.
Signed all my paperwork today and got my number plate etc. Absolutely cannot wait now!!

F***. I'd be climbing the walls by now...bet you can't wait!?

Nearly 3 years ago Emma and I done a highlands roadtrip in the old Clio 200 and wanted to do something similar in the Fiesta. So last weekend Emma’s mum was free to watch the wee man Friday and Saturday night so a quick Google maps research of our old route and a couple of phone calls to book the hotels and the planning was done.

The route:

Day 1: Cumbernauld to Invergarry via Lochearnhead, Crainlarich, Clifton, Connel, Lettermore, Fort William & Spean Bridge

12155149815_6cc5630a0f_b.jpg

Day 2: Invergarry to Thurso via Nostie, Strathcarron, Tornapress, Applecross, Gairloch, Ullapool, Durness & Tongue

Day 3: Thurso to Cumbernauld via John O'Groats & Inverness

Not many pics from Friday’s journey up to Invergarry. Was late and getting dark.

Day 1. First stop:

Superb mate, did similar last year but over a bit longer, loved it, was a superb trip. The Ullspool to tongue road is one of the best I've ever been on. You missed out on some views by doing it in the dark!

Some great shots and great roads!

Still can't get to grips with the ST looks. Even the Zetec S looks more sporty!

If the keys were on the table i would have taken your old 200 every day of the week!

We have done this route previously in our old 200 though spread it over another day. The views are epic.

The ST was much easier to live with on the trip tbh. Nicer place to be, better seats and the extra performance really does aid overtaking on the single-carriageways.

Stunning little thing Martin. Let me know when you want to bring it back over!

Great little trip!

I definitely will. Emma and I are off the week of 7th April so that'd be the best time for us?

Completely agree with this.

It's the bumper that looks awful, spoiling an otherwise flawless car.
