Noticed it when I refilled the washer bottle today.

That black curved casing (what exactly is it?) has a bracket running up to that silver screw & washer at the end of the red arrow. That bracket has sheared straight through and now has free movement. Is it a back to Reno to sort out issue?

Ah, I wondered why that cover had a "Sinclair Spectrum 48k POWER" sticker on it....

Oh well - the next time I hear a clatter and see bits of spinning ECU out the rear view mirror, I know its finally worked itself free.
