plusnet, they turned shocking once Tiscali took them over, I moved instantly.

Total lies, Plusnet are one of the only decent ISP's ive ever used. They do infact buy new pipes to cope with new customers unlike many other ISP's who dont bother and over subscribe the tits off of their current ones, making peek time gaming impossible.

Gareth, I would have a word on the thinkbroadband or community forums, one of the mods will be able to help you out if you dont wanna open a ticket. Im using the Pro package as I used to do alot of gaming, was gunna move off it but as im on a monthly contract moving would mean I would be stuck in a 12 month contact, which I dont want! I pay alot for only 15Gb peek usage but its always a really decent connection with epic pings! I get free overnight usage between 12pm - 8am so leave my torrent machine on then.

Also with my previous 2 ISP's at the same address I had truely awful pings in peek time, im talknig anything from 100 - 600ms!! Spiking all over the place, this was with Pipex and Madasafish (before Plusnet took them over), totally useless call centres not understanding my frustration, ive never had this with Plusnet in the year and a half ive been with them.

If I was to change though, because I cant get Be or cable in my area atm, I would go with an Entanet supplier, like ADSL24.

Its possible their just having issues. Tried rebooting the router incase its messed up, check your PC isn't downloading or something.

If not call them.

Open up a support ticket on your Plusnet control panel, that's what I did when I had a small problem and they were really quick to react and even rang me up an hour later to ask if everything was ok because I hadn't replied to them!

I'm with greeny, plusnet are the best ISP I have been with and I couldn't recommend them enough.

Kinda related but i went through a spate of getting awful pings with Virgin and a 1 in 10 packet loss for about a month.

Turned out it was because i had reached some sort of "download limit" and was shunted onto a seperate network or sorts. Once the time had passed and the limit reset my connection returned to normal.

b******s

will try later when im home

my les10 is currently giving 24ms to that ip and thats shared with 150 users and vpn and mail traffic

If your positive there's nothing at your end taking up bandwidth it has to be an issue with them. Contact them and include those trace's, see what they say.
