Made using a ITG filter, and with help from the fabricator I work with he made up the pipework and also got busy on the lathe and machined up the boss on the throttle body end of the pipe and then I welded it all together, result is awesome looks, sound and what feels like a pretty decent gain in bhp! Which I will test on the dyno as ive had a result of 175bhp with a pipercross panel filter so we will soon see whats changed.

Haha cheers lads! Took a fair while to make as you can imagine getting it to fit perfectly, il be at fcs on the club stand so feel free to have a closer look.. The filter cost £60 plus a few hours labour so I doubt many would spend £150-200 on this kit when the ktec is readily available.

Thanks for the welding comments, I take alot of pride in welding, doing the job I do makes it cool too!

Basically make all performance parts, not cheap stuff like most bigger companies.
Radiators, intercoolers, oil coolers, catch tanks, fuel tanks, swirl pots etc I'm your man :D

Hmm I would have to discuss with the fabricator tommorow for a price, would obviously be cheaper if it's literally just the pipe needed and you use your own filter and joiner hoses etc. Glad you all like the weldporn!

Very nice that mate, I'll admit I was opening the thread hoping for another bucket style mod though ;)

Haha no bucket style atall here, just a well thought out design :)

I cant take credit for the fabrication as it was the lad in work that helped me out on that.

And yeah we cater for everyone, big companies like Ferrari, Aston martin., prodrive/F1/wrc/British superbikes etc we do work for all them and alot is sold to demon tweeks too.

That looks awesome! Was gutted when i didnt see some ropey looking bits of silicone slung together though ;)

You could make some lovely looking intercooler pipework, hmmmmm.

You're a very talented welder mate, the craft in that is exceptional. I know a few welders and the only thing I've seen close to that was a guy at 50 years of age who was really really talented!!

Nice work! Looks a bit better flowing that the Ktec kit as the bends aren't as tight.

Look forward to seeing the gains you get on the dyno.

Top job :)

Looks amazing, love nice TIG welding like that and the bracket you have made looks superb too in terms of how its styled :)
Although im a little concerned that as the engine moves its got nowhere to flex really as its such a short piece of silicone to the manifold that it wont really have any give?
