Mot fail on emissions

Hi, my 182 has just failed on emissions, the readings from the two tests they ran were-
C02 7.06 then 6.62
Hc 236 then 186
Second test seemed to have been 15 mins after the first.
In all fairness I forgot to warm it up before the test, it's a standard cat with scorpion. Any ideas how to get it through?

Whats the reading needed to pass?
Yeah you should have got the cat red hot before the test.

Not sure but it passed the Hc apparently just the c02 if failed on oh and high level brake light failed. They said give it an oil change and thrash it before next test. Is an oil change really going to help, it is due one this summer.

You are right, oil change wont really help.. The brake light is easy to swap and costs around £25 for a new LED strip from Renault Wolverhampton, you could pop the clear red plastic strip off with a screw driver and see if there is anything obvious why it isnt working.

What does exhaust emissions lambda after 2nd idle too high mean?

Might that explain the fact it feels like its holding back a bit more than normal when it's cold?

Is that the one I need? Is it pre cat that I need? Thanks for the help by the way!

IMHO i would buy nothing but bosch as they are the OE supplier to Renault.

Only two things to change is the price and the box when buying from renault.

Is there a difference between the two lambda sensors, which do I need

And it will be pre cat causing the problem?

It will be the one in the CAT at the front.

I changed mine twice due to rubbish emissons and failing my very first MOT.

As i say if you buy cheap you buy twice.

Fixed! It was the pre cat lambda sensor. now 0ppm Co.
And a plus is that it seems to go better and the reset trip is up to 43 mug after my 30 mile round trip to work which was previously 39

Wish I'd known George did them, I got mine from eBay for £52 genuine Bosch.
