Mk2 Ph2 1.2 8v intake?!?! WHAT IS THIS??

Hi guys so I was having a bit of a clean up in my engine bay tonight and was then asked the question what is that for on the top of your intake.
And to my embarrassment i didn't have an answer!!
I'm talking about the bit on top of the intake that looks like a clip or a holder for somthing that i hope i'm not missing as i brought the car like this.
hope someone can tell me what it is or what i am missing :S!!

Map/MAF sensor

looks like this

they were used on Mk1 clios which used the same airbox. on the Mk2, they got replaced with ones that looked like this

which can be seen in the bottom right of your picture.

So don't worry, you not missing anything
