my car has been lowered 55mm front and back and have no probs with it on 15s

i think it looks good there but wouldnt go any lower, i heard someone lowered the fron 60 and the back 70mm but cant go anywhere cos of scrapin exhaust and knocking on the axle!!!!

Probably BRUN Id think any speed bumps stop him completly.

55mm is the way to go mate, especially with 15s, it looks great and aint too much hassle, just go slow over speed bumps.



JD1860 does this mean we have the lowest mk1s on the forum or is there lower?

I think theres a guy on here with coilovers on a RT with 15s. His would be the lowest i think.

well id like t say im probally lower, i didnt do this post t bragg i wa just wondering outa intrest its lowered 60mm front on GMAX sprinks n i think my back is about 90mm so im told it doesnt catch wi ppl in the back the only problem i had wa with the exhaust it caught everywhere but i had all the brackets changed n now not a problem

Seriously though, How the ride with the GMAX springs? Ive also got them and theyre bouncy as fcuk.

P.S. What did you do with the exhaust brackets? As you can see my K-tec hangs a bit low.

dude, not pickin but i dont think the wheels go wiv a mk1 clio very well, and also, it dont look much lower than mine at the back!!!

please dont take it the wrong way, i just dont like mk2 wheels on a mk1, thats my opinion!!!

JoelDee i dont think ur car is a lot lower than mine at back either, mind you, its supposed to be 55mm but i always thought it is more like 60-70mm as it is extra low at back, even the mot centre advised me on it as extra low at rear haha!!!

its all standard RSi mods, like colour coded bumpers and that, it has side skirts on as standard but dont look at that, look at how far under the wheel is compared to urs, surely that is not a 55mm drop, u know what i mean

what profile are your tyres liamrsi? as i want to lower my clio on a suspension kit, but am undecided on 40mm or 60mm drop.

ive got the added problem of having an aftermarket bumper so have got to watch it a bit

i run avo coilovers on 16s i have measured mine against a standard valver on 16s and it was aproximatly 80-85 mm lower

hi sorry only just replyin,

well its lowered bout 90mm so im told i think dean has to have the lowest that looks mint as fook,

as for the exhaust the lads at kwikfit changed all the clamps to smalller 1s and twisted the exhaust or summet like that n it sits right up now not a problem anywhere,

im from thorne but i know live in barrow, i wa down there about 2-3week ago so yeah maybe u did see it

as for the gmax springs i find the whole car very hard but it seems really good to handle n doesnt wanna go anywhere it dont have to

will get pics of my mates on 15s a bit later tonight - stupidly low - probably the lowest you will see on 15s!
