Very nice mate, I do like the FRS, especially with the splitter like you have!

I just don't like the rear end, the US spec rear lights freshen it up a little, but it's still not good looking like the front!

They look awesome in pics but there's one in our carpark at work and it just doesn't seem to do much for me..

Love them, owned one, miss it in everything bar the running costs.

So far trophy is cheaper in every aspect and pretty much just as fun for sure!

Best looking focus ever made IMO :) the new RS just doesn't do it for me tbh :S but am I thinking rightly that they ain't that quick as standard for a boosted boat????

a proper enthusiast car.

owners love them no matter what anyone says.

i like them

This kinda somes up the Frs and the Frp to some extent quite well. They probably aren't the best cars in their class'.

There are cars like the Golf Gti (Frs) and the Clio Trophy (Frp) that are better in 9/10 departments but if you have any kind of liken for Fords at all you get these cars.

They stir something inside that you can put into car terms. The closest I got was "it tingles my balls everytime I get in it."

You feel it in your stomach. The problem is I think you only get this weird sennsation if you're actually a Ford fan.

An RS badge does that to me. Sit in an Escort Cosworth. Not the best car in the world. Some can feel utter s**t to drive, hard gearbox, sloppyish steering. Pretty much like an old escort but it'll still have that excitement of driving an RS. Not many cars can do that.

Of course the cars I speak of are immense in their own way without the whole "Ford thing" but there are better cars out their for most people that are say car enthusiasts, not Ford fans.

It's hard to explain but i've driven hundreds of cars in my job and through test drives and I feel I can comment fairly.

Should ave stuck with the four wheel drive layout of the cosworth (all be it updated) when they made these though, imagine the potential these would have with that!!!! Same goes with the new RS but I don't like the new one lol

Couldnt have said it better myself.

Saw a shonky old F plate saph cos last night in, shall we say, a bit of a hurry. Looked like he was wrestling with it, pop of soot out the back. Everyone on the pavement stopped to watch it. Made me smile

<3 fast fords.

FRS is on my 'list' .... although whilst i love the cars, i hate the drain pipe hanging out the back of the OP's :(

I like when you sit in a FRP you're not sure how much longer the over extended bodged wishbones will last.
:clown: - Lovely car though.

Yup. 172 cup, had a ktech stealth on it but not sure what else. In a straight line my brothers RS was keeping up with it but in no way gaining on it. And that's after a bluefin map, custom exhaust and badman K&N Filter y0.

my mate has one, hes had it nearly five years, and everytime he thinks about selling it, he just goes out for a drive in it.

ive driven it a few times, and it is great, although the steering wheel just cant get near enough to me to feel comfortable

  Golf 7R
So an RS Focus with Bluefin was just keeping up with a 172 Cup?

Jog on!

When I had my 172 Cup I had my arse handed to me by a Bluefin'd RS, and my Cup was no slouch!

I did look at them before purchasing the R26, but the interior put me off slightly.

Oh, and you must be crazy to even think about going back to a 182 after a focus RS imo.

Standard ain't they slightly slower to 60 than the 172/182? Obviously not a marginal diference and prob not noticeable by everyday Joe but on the numbers alone a bit slower?

The only, and I mean the ONLY thing I cant be doing with is the Sparco seats. They are nothing short of awful.

Ford made a right boob going from Recaros there.

Officially 6.2 to 60 iirc. I know that as my best mate owns one and I constantly get it rammed down my throat. 0 - 60 times can fcuk off though.

They certainly feel quicker than the 1*2's, anyway.

I do quite like these, thought about buying one a few times. Im glad to hear im not the only one that doesnt like the new FRS I thought I was alone there. Im not really a ford fan the only ones I actually like are The escort Cosworth and these. And I hate RS Turbo's with a passion.. Although have no idea why?? Lol

Oh and Jason, your brother clearly cant drive. Either that or weighs 30 stone.

Wrong. My seats pwn recaros for positioning, holding and comfort over long and short journeys.

The ones in the FRS are a kinda half arsed attempt so they are like half sport half comfort, no good, I don't like the interior or the steering wheel. I enjoyed the Frp a million times more than the Frs although i'm not much of a straight line hero. Can't be with the Frp engine I suppose.
