That's how they are , one wire . They are self ignited within the unit (alternator)
The single wire goes to the bulb.

The Knock sensor has two pins in the connector

Is it on a 1*2? This is the knock sensor plug/wiring.

1 white, 1 red and brown plug. It also has a black wire that's used to shield the outer insulation from interference.

My knock sensor kicked up a fault but its disappeared garage think it was just the bad weather or bad fuel when I noticed the alternator and the other plug assumed it was a missing wire, I'm gonna wait seen if the light comes back if it doesn't will just replace it
