Picked up a ph1 172 last night and it had some mint door pulls so will be swapping those over, also got a lot of the dash done

Full set off seats now in

and this is as far as i have got with the dash, i think im going to mess around with one of the ph2 hazard panels and make it so the ph1 switches fit in

Was ment to be using a friends ramp yesterday to get the stealth exhaust on but he couldn't do it so i had nothing to do and so i just did it!

I have the week off work so looking to just get it all done! will be putting the car up for sale very soon, a few people questioned me as to why i was still fitting expensive stuff to it, The reason is because i started it so i must finish it!

I took the seats out yesterday to give the car a hoover

Black phase 2 carpet in

and thats the interior just about done, everything is phase 2 including the seat belts

Next changed the exhausts over to the k-tec stealth, the one we removed is 2.25" and the k-tec is 2.5" which is a bit better for the turbo
its got the middle silencer and im very very pleased with it, the car has a silenced de-cat and its probably quieter than a standard exhaust, car seems to pick up slightly better also (although that could all be in my head)

All thats left to do is sort the 2 switches out on the dash, hopefully get that done today

The look of the car has improved massively since when you initially bought the car! Hats off to you fella.

However, I preferred the Williams wheels on the car, they just seemed to suit it well

So yesterday i finished up the last few bits, i fitted the ph1 hazard switch into the ph2 housing as others have done, i also fitted the ph1 central locking switch, this has been put on the small panel under the heater dials, there is no de-mister switch and the locking switch on the hazard panel obviously now inactive, this was the neatest way i could think to do it

And so that completed my journey with the car, imo its a completely different car now to the one i bought, its much much better, the new exhaust system is as quiet as a standard car, it looks almost standard and has the better phase 2 interior, it really is a car you can drive everyday with plenty of go!
