Meshed bumper

Has anyone used mesh on their 2002 Clio front bumper (not 172).

Im thinking about doing it but just wanted to see if anyone else has and how easy it is?

Did you cut any bits of the bumper and how did you attach it?

I have done the my 2002 172 . It is fairly easy to do this one i wouldnt think the non 172 was too much different. Get under the car and remove the plactic protection. Most grills are clip on and will come off with a lot of messing. Cut the mesh to size (1 inch bigger all round) use the removed grill to shape mesh- bend it so it will grip the bumper. Cut mesh to fit over clips. Push in place and secure with lots of body filler (fibre glass type best)

Sounds exactly same as mine but i used sealer to stick mine in place.

Safe a little extra mesh too and use this to mesh up the little holes on the front apron(youll be thinmking eh but go look at the apron and youll get what i mean) Finishes it off a treat

Also anyone got an opinion on spraying the grill chrome on a platinum silver clio

Anyone have any pics of a mk1 172 with mesh?
