megane swivel hub bearing repair/replace?!

hello, been browsing on here for a while and although i have a megane 225 cup ive saw a few posts that i reckon there is a few tech's on here.

Reckon my swivel hub bearing is away on my megane whichever direction i turn the wheel the car doesnt autocorrect to straight it will stay in that position,

question is now. how do i know which one it is? and can the bearing be replaced by itself or is it a full replacement?

any help/price or info much appreciated.

Where are you based?

Offically there is not a replacement bearing from Renault, they will only sell you the whole hub.

But some people can replace the bearings with after market bearings, if the hub isn't damaged from the worn bearing.

The easiest way to check for a worn bearing is to jack the car up and undo the TRE and feel the hub as you turn / pivot it.

found a guy that does a replacement for £140 a side but hes in derby and im in glasgow!
sent him a message as he sells them on their own and hopefully i can get them ordered this week.

Aaron has done a few for people on meganesport.net he seem like a decent guy, his garage is only 5mins from my office actually.

I also know where he gets the bearings from

you could send him the hub or you can strip it down and see if it will clean up

if he sends me the bearings can i not just get a local guy to sort it? i read he said something that he would need the match the bearing to hub or something, surely any decent mechanic can do this without the 300 mile trip?

I'm considering using Aarons Autos to replace my hub bearings. How did you sort yours in the end and is all OK?
