Lowering 35mm

  Mk1 Ph2 1.4 RT !FOR SALE!
Hi all, just got a pretty good result when i enquired with the insurance company as to how much my premium would change, so wanting to lower my mk1 ph2 RT by 35mm.

Gonna get the generic springs from GSF, anything i should know to look out for?
Can i lower the torsion bar myself and just have the garage to the front springs? or is it not worth the hassle, and get them to do the whole lot?

Also, anyone got any pics of a mk1 lowered by 35mm, maybe some before and after shots?

Thanks for any help

Unless you want to save a bit get the garage to do it the nuts will be rusty so it will take a bit to move them.

There are guides on how to do it yourself though.
PS I'd chnage the springs and dampers and use some decinet springs not just universal ones.
