LOWERING 172 MK1

Hi,

i want to lower my 172 (mk1), was thinking bout a 40mm drop on lowering springs only and keeping the original dampers to keep the cost low and as they have only done 20k miles. Has anyone done this 40mm drop (or less) if so did the car still handle well and was it still practical for town use (e.g, speed bumps, parking etc) or are you continuously bottoming out and smacking the front bumper.

gratefull for any info, cheers :D

if you want a 40mm drop then go for APEX 40mm springs (bout £90)

Eibach do 2 kits i think (one is a 15mm drop and the other is 30mm drop)

TBH as far as im concerned it doesnt really matter what springs you use (just dont go near SPAX, personnaly i think theyre crap)

K-tec springs offer a nice drop too

itll be fine over speed bumps, but the shocks will need changing/uprating eventually
