I'd be more concerned with getting a 100Hz or above rather than LED.
Not only that but a friend of mine has a C series samsung and whilst it looks good with a signal from a hdmi cable, the upscaling of standard definition broadcast is diabolical

I don't know why people keep saying get 100hz.

On some things it is ok. However it also makes other things look very unnatural and gives me a right headache. As a result my sets have the 100hz disabled. It just makes things look like they have been recorded on a camcorder or something.
