Ex-172 owner. Now a Mini!
I hate having to post a 'knocking' thread, but mine has developed a really odd noise and it appears to come from the pedals? It's a metallic 'knocking' that seems to come from either the steering column area or the pedals. I've been under the dash with a torch and can't see anything. It makes the noise when I go over rough surfaces. Had its MOT yesterday and that showed up no problems. Does this sound familiar to anyone? It's on a 172.
