had this on since i bought my car came with it, strangly was a tescos bag in the air feed from under the car should this have stayed in there? because driving home tonight went through a puddle orangey/yellow light looked like engine in bottom right corner started flashing then i lost power and was smoking quite bad through exhasut..left it 20 mins and ran fine after, isit likely that waters been sucked up that and thats why it was blocked off? because of the size of the filter?
