Jerking/hesitation under load, now also at idle

  Renault Clio RS
Hi everyone,

I own a Clio RS 200 (2013) and I’m having issues with jerking / hesitation under load.

Diagnostics (Clip) doesn’t show any relevant faults.

What happened so far:

  • I first replaced the turbo outlet / charge pipe (hose from turbo to intercooler) because it had a crack. At that moment I got a Check Injection System warning. We fixed it and the car was running fine.
  • The next morning the jerking started, but no fault codes were logged. At first it only happened under stronger throttle input, while idling was smooth.
  • On the next diagnostics session it showed a faulty coolant temperature sensor → I replaced the spark plugs (NGK) and the coolant temperature sensor.
  • After that, the car drove fine on a test run, but later the same day the jerking came back, this time also at idle.

Question:

Has anyone experienced a similar issue on a Clio RS 200 (M5Mt engine)?

Could it be related to:
  • boost pipe not sealing properly (O-ring, clamps),
  • MAP sensor (boost pressure sensor),
  • Fuel system( fuel rail pressure regulator)
  • or something else (lambda sensor, injectors, etc.)?

Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel or ignition are your main culprits, when you replaced the spark plugs did you check and gap them?

Also, did you make sure you didn't buy fake spark plugs?
