iPhone 4S sound issues. Strange.

My phone has strange sound issues.
Ringer works fine, as does alarm sounds.

but no text tones, no app noise, youtube silent. Any ideas???

I had this not long ago,iphone 4s replaced by vodafone due to damp in the charging socket making the phone think that its docked when in fact it is not,fairly common ive heard,hope this helps,

Loudspeaker works fine.

Noticed another thing, when the battery has gone flat in constantly tries to turn on.
