Oh yes. It's a joy to use tbh. Like a 2 minute job to do them once you have the outer ends off.

Aren't they over £200 new from renault? Do they also work with non genuine track rods?

Yes and yes. They have rollers on the inside, which grip it as you turn. Kind of like the stud extractors you can get

yep i dont see why not, just gotta make sure the spanner head is thin/ish, but yeh that home made crows foot should work fine,

You might as well get a set of crows feet, saves cutting up a spanner

You can just order them from a non knobhead dealer, when I got mine last year it about about £50. Great piece of kit, you can get them from the normal manufacturers though too. Ebay is full of them (or was)

They work great but not all the rods have flats on them and access can be difficult, the megane ones don't have flats for example. You need a camlock tool to do them.
