Injector failure on same cylinder

  Ex 182 owner
Out of interest can anything Cylinder Number specific keep killing injectors?

Month or so ago, Had a miss on No3. did all the checks and ended up swapping injectors 3 and 1 to test. Tried again and hey presto the miss moved to cylinder 1. So I bought a genuine new injector from Adam, installed it in No1(so the old no3 was removed) and problem was solved. Car didnt run much as it was now out of MOT, probably 200 miles max over xmas.

Started the other night and miss again. I didn't have access to my code reader so went straight for the pulling the leads to each injector. Once again miss in No3. (the old No1 from above swap). Swapped it with No 2. and once again the miss moved to the No2. cylinder.

So I am looking at getting another new injector.
Now I apprciate that I may just be unlucky and that the 2nd failure in No3 didnt involve a brand new injector. This time I will defo swap them back so the new one will go into No 3.

However before I risk a £70 part, is there anythign else which might be causing the injector problem to start in No3?

Thank you
Chris

Thnk you,
Are they the same manufacturer? I thought i read on here injectors were one thing not to go down the ecp/gsf route.

Cheers All, I guess for half price its worth giving them a go.
as bloke said probably just unlucky. Unless anyone knows of any other poss reason.

I try to go renault when reasonable, especially thru Adam..I do some bits from gsf/ecp.. £55 for a genuine renault washer pump for instance was one of them moments. Just trying to balance whats worth the extra and whats not.

I am fortunate that its a toy, cos the damn things been near side lined for 2 months now. Home mechanics in winter without a garage is a complete arse ;)
