as above how can u tell the 2.0 f16 ie engine from the 1.8 16 v

Have a look at the Oval plate for the engine code or look at the engine type stamped on the block.

Like he said. Also 2.0 has strenthening veins on the back of the block.

You have to look at the engine block to be sure, like brad said, strengthening veins on the back of the block, Engine code on the block at the front, down by the dipstick tube should start with F7R for 2.0ltr F7P for 1.8

F7R also pulls a lot harder
