***How much is it worth?***

  172
Got to be near £3k surely with the mods etc.

Close to what I was thinking, there's about £1500 I can easily make back from swapping parts for standard. I'd then have a clean 182 to sell. Just unsure if it's worth the hassle. Think I'll sell up after a ring trip in may

Curious to see what this is worth, looking at a megane sport 225 Lux, 106k miles, part service history, cambelt at 70k. Needs abs sensor doing and window motor.

  Clio Trophy
Curious at the minute-

Clio Trophy on 93k miles, generally good condition, cambelt not due until 2020 but Sachs dampers need a refurb (currently on cup springs and dampers) A/C and cruise control don't work.

  RS Clio 182
£6,895 is this a good price for a Liquid Yellow 200? (59k,2010,belts just done)

Ive seen LY 200's going for 9k-10k so this looks a good price?

Could you please send me a message when you decide to sell it? I was on the market for an R26 last month but I had to hold the purchase due to change in job circumstances. I'll likely be on the market for a 182 or 197 in a month or so when / if things settle down with the job and yours look very good!

Yeah of course I have a few who are serious with interest when I'm ready to sell but I'll happily shoot you a PM when the time comes. Looking like a few weeks at least

Right.....So as some of you may probably remember, my engine in my clio decided to s**t itself on a trip to the Nurburgring in September 2015. Since then I have stripped the engine out of the car and was planning to put a new engine in. Ive not had time due to work commitments etc to even touch the car for well over a year now. It seems silly for it to just sit there so the time has come where i need to do something with it and get it gone. The car will be going up for sale one way or another but at the moment im trying to decided what to do.

Option one, is sell the car as it currently stands. Not running with no engine in. The car will come with all bits that have been removed and will basically just need a new engine installing, and all the ancillaries putting back on, throttle bodies, etc

Option two, is the get the car back up and running again and sell it as a working track/race car.

Option 3, sell it for parts. But it seems such a shame to break such a great high spec car that so many hours work have gone in too.

Spec of the car is as follows (obviously the bold underlined stuff is no longer relevant as the engine is fooked):

The car is fitted with a full weld in Oreca ‘Race’ cage. If you know about these cages they’re a fairly comprehensive setup and it’s worth saying that extra bars were added to the cage to further strengthen it (there is a bar behind the dash and we added harness bars to it). The front strut bars have been left out as I wanted to retain the heater in the car. The cage was installed by Gareth at ACE Engineering in Sussex and the correct footplates were used as per MSA rules.

Chassis, bodywork and suspension:
- Phase 1 172 shell in Iceberg silver
- 2 way adjustable Leda suspension which are a very rare in a Clio 172 fitment
- Eibach camber bolts
- 172 Cup wishbones (increased caster) all polybushed
- Front ARB polybushed
- AST topmounts
- Alignment and setup by Dan at 519Automotive
- 2.5 degrees front camber, 2 degrees rear camber
- 30mm wider rear track
- Eibach 25mm front spacers
- Whiteline Rear ARB
- Clio Cup roof air scoop.
- Clio Cup rear spoiler
- Clio trophy side skirts
- Vented Carbon bonnet with lockable aero catches
- Odyssey PC680 battery in boot
- Martini stripe vinyl
- Phase 2 rear lights, boot lid and bumper
- Carbon rear wiper blank
- Carbon boot lid handle
- Ktec fibreglass door cards with door pulls
- Remote locking does still work
- Elec windows still present.
Brakes:
- New standard rear disks and bearings
- Brembo HC front disks
- Braided lines
- RC6 front pads
- Race fluid
Interior:
- Sparco Circuit winged seats – matching pair. In date
- Seats mounted directly onto the floor
- 6 Point Sabelt Harnesses. (Mounted properly! Eyebolts fitted and plated as per MSA rules). Date expired
- Adjusted steering column to lower it
- OMP Suede wheel (quick release boss fitted)
- Flocked dash
- Cut out switch
- Extinguisher setup (needs plumbing in to complete)
Engine:
- 172 Cup bottom end
- Phase 1 (large port) head
- Piper camshafts
- Webber Alpha throttle bodies
- Longer throttle stack trumpets
- Pipercross filter
- New NGK plugs
- Cambelt changed 500 miles ago
- Low mileage dephaser pulley
- New alternator
- ARP bottom end bolts
- VW Polo Radiator
- ‘Coops’ Solid dogbone engine mount
- Ktec upper engine mount
- Adaptronic 420d ECU
- Miltek decat
- Heat wrapped manifold
- Powerflow (I think!) stainless exhaust with ‘custom’ backbox.
Gearbox is a low mileage replacement unit directly from Renault and feels like new as you’d expect
The car is wearing a set of 15” Pro race wheels in red fitted with new Rainsport 3 and used Michelin tyres. There is also a set of worn 888’s on the original Renault OZ F1

Ive also uploaded some pictures of the car.

Would be great to see what people think the best option for me to get maximum sale value would be.

Cheers in advance for any replies

For maximum return you'll need to break it. There's more people building track cars than looking to buy one. It would be a massive shame to break that though, it sounds epic!

Are 172 Cups really selling for just £1,000? Just looked on eBay at sold prices and if that is right, I'll lock mine away for another year!

Only if they're rough/unloved/no history.

I sold mine 110k, 03 cup as a fairly standard example with good history for £2200 about a month and a half ago. Clean ones are on the up in my eyes

The cheapest I found was £1200 for a dodgy chavved up one.

Then £1300 for one needing a clutch.

...not that I'm looking for one or anything
Mine is good to go, however, has standard 172 wheels on it and is back to standard. Was hoping for around £1750 for it

  250 Cup & BG 182
Nimbus grey 200, 59 plate, 51k miles, FSH, 2 previous owners, body in need of some TLC, cambelt just done at KTEC.
Non cup pack, Has Anthracite package, electric roof, recaros, keyless entry and start / stop, GT Spoiler, normal 5 spoke wheels.

Interested to know how much this is worth.

Clio 182 in racing blue, 96k, 04 plate, lack of service history and will need cambelt, team dynamic 1.2 with newish rain sports, ktec exhaust and decat, recent brakes all round, body work is decent, mot July, cliosport.net sticker in the rear window, rear seats removed but available, took it in px against my R26

I'm keen to go and check this car out:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172664028716

Just a bit put off by the misfire. Just wandered what the issue might be and if it serious? The seller goes into a bit more detail about the car in the item description.

Is £1700 too much?

Suspected fuel injector, changed one, switched it over to all 4 banks. Wasn't injector, still misfires. Cleaned all visible sensors/connectors, cleaned out inlet manifold and throttle body. Misfire is still there. A trip to KTEC Racing (RenaultSport specialists), they said it is unusual, the fact it drives fine and misses on idle. They suggested that I was being too fussy, they have a rough idle from factory anyway

  dan's cast offs.
5000rpm VVT is more than noticeable...epic fail!!!

love the fact that people think they should have a rough idle as normal, comical to say the least.

  dan's cast offs.
it's probably not that bad a car but with the niggles price is a bit high. should be an easy one to sort out though.

I normally have a fairly good idear when pricing stuff up, however I am finding this car quite hard due to the various Clio track cars on Ebay currently. I know some prices are probably not likely to be met. I would like to price that car realistically, but in my opinion it has some good modifications, which purchased on there own are expensive. Opinions welcome!!

The Car -

2004 Renault Clio 182 FF track car, 122,000 miles, Both Cup packs, 2004 model, Artic blue, Will come with 12 months Mot, 4 previous keepers, Fitted with the following modifications

Interior

Corbeau DFX bucket seats in black and suede(as new and hardly used)
OMP subframes and Sabelt sidemounts
Two TRS matching four point harnesses in blue
Interior is completely stripped including the headlining. The complete dash remains so that the climate control, clock, radio etc still works otherwise it is almost impossible to clear the screen on track days and some music is nice if like me you drive the car there and back
Airbags removed and airbag module correctly adjusted using RS Tuner. No lights on dash.

Suspension and Brakes

Renault Cup shocks
Eibach sportline springs all round
Whiteline rear ARB
Front 20mm bolt on hub-centric spacers
Front camber bolts
Brembo discs and DS2500 track pads

Engine

Black series engine bushes
Powerflex dogbone mount
Standard airbox with K&N panel filter
Longlife stainless steel exhaust system. Cat is welded to the center section so none of the common blowing!! Rear boxes look really smart. Runs 85 - 94DB at track days so well within limits for all tracks.

Wheels and tyres

182FF standard wheels fitted with fairly new Federal 595 track day tyres

Bodywork

In overall good condition. No rust. Few marks consistent with age including some small dents on the roof from where the sound proofing was removed from the inside. There is also a crack on the front bumper under the fog light. Overall as can be seen from the pictures cleans up really well for a track car and paintwork is stunning.

Servicing

Car is currently on 122,000 miles. Almost full documented service history with all receipts and invoices. Some of the most comprehensive service history I have seen, all old mot's, two cambelt changes, the most recent with dephaser change being at Rentech on 10/09/2015 at 101,147 miles. Two keys, HPI clear, All handbooks.

I am just about to complete a service on the car, which will include oil change with Shell Helix 5w40, Oil filter, Gearbox oil change with genuine Renault Elf 75w80, Brake fluid change with high temp track fluid. It has recently had a reconditioned alternator and a second hand ABS module fitted. There is a slight gearbox oil leak from the selector shaft, which every Clio 1*2 I buy seems to suffer from!!! Will be going for Mot this week.

I am sure there are somethings I have forgotten, but I will update when I remember.
