Totally. If i want a normal drive i take the c-max, if i want an involving, exciting drive, i take the cup, that said i only drive the c-max when i have to with my family!

I don't understand what the issue with ABS is (well I do, lack of skill/driver error). We all had Mk3 Polo's and did just fine. Stuart's was supercharged (150bhp) and was a match for a 182 in a straight line. No ABS, 175 section tyres on 5.5 inch width alloy wheels and 830kg...and of course...no ABS. quote]

i must admit ive never owned a mk3 polo lol. i did however own a 210bhp mk3 fiesta rs turbo & a 190bhp mk4 escort rs turbo neither of which had abs & both faster than 1*2/ cup & trophy

I've just noticed

Although there are more Ph2 172's on the road there are still less Iceberg Silver 172's registered than Cups even though iceberg is the most popular colour.

i cant beleive that only 2000 about and only 2,300 made. i see far few where i live thought there would be loads more.

yh i will only go mad on public roads when its wet as geasey roads are s**t in the country.

just seen the trophy only 500 made!!! there are great cars through, only 52 in other countrys that mean its only really come out in uk?

I agree that the lack of luxury adds to the appeal for me. Its an incredibly involving drive.

Plus, as a bonus, I can get my whole drum kit in the back for gigging! (with the seats flat!) and leave the passenger seat clear!

I've never driven a normal 172 or 182, but I absolutely love my Cup
