Help to diagnose a noise..!!??

Hi all,

Right my 172 Cup has developed a new noise lol I can't put my finger on it. I have searched the forums to no avail. So here goes my attempt to explain it.

When i drive the car i get a kind of metallic noise which quickens the faster i go......which would say to me its either wheel related or the like. From inside the car the noise sounds like it comes from below the dash area.

I was thinking it could possibly be my cat?? As i have the usual misfire around 2k rpm and sometimes my toxic fume light comes on.

If anyone can shed some light it would be much appreciated

does the noise get louder as you corner or louder when you corner one way, check your discs baking plates ect you could of picked up a stone or somthing thats got stuck

Doesn't change during cornering its right from the moment I pull away.
