Good point! Hadn't remember that! Hammer and chisel time maybe then, try chiselling the nut anticlockwise to loosen it off

Got a welder? Get a large nut M12 or something. Put the nut on the end of the wheel bolt, weld inside the nut, onto the wheel bolt. Then undo?

Yeah i've got a welder but i was going to use that as a last effort if all else fail's. Ideally someone may have the same locking nut's on ther car on here and could lend me there's as it's a genuine renault locking nut :)

Yeah, thats the best option really, hopefully you will be lucky. Can't be many matching locking nuts around though?

Any garage will take them off for about 30-50sheets. But they'll fcuk them in the process.

The wheel's are now off the car but still held onto the brake disc i was considering cutting the disc off with my trusty still saw but still want to see if someone has a locking nut the same i can borrow or even have the part number :)

I was going to replace the rear discs and pads today and realised I'd lost my locking nut key. I was looking everywhere for it, even in places where I know it wouldn't be there, like in the in my sock draw and in the fruit bowl! Blind panic will make you look in stupid places!!

Anyways, contacted Renault dealership and my heart was ready to sink for their quote to remove the lock nut, but to my supprise the lady on the service desk gave me a number and told me to contact this company that specialises in locking wheel bolt keys. So rather than the dealership get the key and charge me shed loads, I did what she advised.

You need the key number for this company to create a spare. This can be found in your service log book on a sticker with an FERxxxxx number. Total cost for a duplicate key, £12.39. The company is Evo Automotive based in Milton Keynes. You can order the key on their website http://www.evoautomotive.com.

Who'd have thought that a Renault dealership could be so helpful and save me money!!

Thank's very much for all the replies, i managed to get the wheel's off i drilled the locking nut starting with a small drill and made my way upto a 10mm untill i could fit this daft old tool thingy that my dad gave me it has a thread going the opposite way so bite's into the locking nut and it took them off.

Thank's :)
