HELP from the CS guru club with ordering parts for 182 CUP/FF?

Dan

Right i have spotted whilst searching around that a lot of 182 CUP/CUP PACKED car owners (including myself) have got a set of new/aftermarket suspension but are looking to replace the front end parts such as; wishbones, ball joints, track rod ends, inner track rods, ARB bushes and also the steering rack bush to tighten there handling up further and get the car back to its best if not further enhance the handling for fast road driving.

So i am calling out to someone who can clear up what is needed and what are the best parts to use to reach this goal

If anyone can help these people (including myself) and post;

what parts are needed (The make and what size the part is if possible/applicable)?

where to buy them from (part numbers would be a massive help)?

and how much they are?

It would be very much appreciated :)

Thanks for helping,

Dan

  172 Cup
This would be very very useful. I am just about to begin the process of putting my 172 cup back on the road and will be replacing most of the worn front suspension and steering components.

So far I believe that for the 172 cup the track rods are longer than the standard 172 and as a result are only available from Renault deals at approx £40 per side.

It should be noted that the online suppliers, such as euro car parts, incorrectly specify the standard 172 parts.

Track rod ends are the same as the standard car.

Cheers,
Will

Ball Joints and Track Rod End's are the same across all the sports. You can get these from ECP/GSF, note: ball joints are M12 bolts.

Wishbones actually come with Ball Joints if you're going to be buying those. I believe these are the same for all sports as well. (K-tec sell them, however they're more expensive than direct to renault: http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4184&appid=2)

LH Side: 8200257956
RH Side: 8200257957

Inner track Rods, people advise Renault only. (I had some generic no-brands on before I swapped the rack and they were crap) You'll also need a very thin spanner to fit these, so would advise getting them done at a garage.

ARB Bushes for the 182 Cup/Trophy are 23mm Outer, 25mm Inner (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/renault/...-renault-clio-mk2-2-0-rs-172-182-phase-2.html)

Steering rack bushes are all the same IIRC, part number is 7701470760, http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Clio-V6-Steering-Column-Bush-Kit.html (You'll need two)

How does that sound?

Not sure about the wishbones. I thought they were the same, but could be wrong.
