Heating Problems

Currently having issues with the heater in the car, I either get one of two options when I start it. Either blistering heat coming out, or colder air and nothing in between.

I have tried using cable ties to on the cog, but that hasn't solved it.

Any help is appreciated.

Could be the sensor in the Interior light?
