Happy With Your Car?

  133/225/CLS AMG
I got in my 172 this morning, only for a short drive down to the train station but I have to admit I do genuinely look forward to getting into that car.

Ok so it's 9 years old yet it still pulls like a train, goes round bends pretty much as well (on the road) as a modern RenaultSport and still looks smart. :)

Oh and at the moment, everything works except the a/c needs re-gassing! haha

There no denying that the Clio are great little cars. Had a 172 and loved it but had to sell it for something bigger to ferry the kids. Had a few cars in between and always hankered after another fast Clio. Well I'm now 4 years into my Trophy ownership and still very much enjoying it (especially after a new set of front dampers!). This one is for keeps!

..I think I'll be a lot happier with my 172 FF when it's been mapped and no longer idles lumpy! It's a minor thing but bugs me!

  172 exclusive no 172
I love my clio 2001 exclusive , mainly it has the fuel economy when i need it, and then the power when i want to play,
With having such a unique number 172 of 172 and low mileage currently only 35100 i will be with me for some time, if i get a job further a field i will get a cheap diesel.

She is going in tomorrow for coilovers to be fitted and decat
fitted and she is now perfect

  Clio 182 cup
Had my 2005 182 from new, Can't part with the little fooker...Always said i'll ditch it when it blows up..It chucked a rod and got a new engine. Had an Elise 111s while owning the clio,,,,Lotus is gone and still got the clio. It's turning into triggers brush, but as been said b4 most bang for your buck you can get....would need to trade it in and add about £10k to get somthing I wanted.

  Flame 172 (Ph2)
Relatively new owner of my Flame 172 and I'm utterly bold over by it. It really is a fab car in every aspect and it stacks up against my previous cars, including an RX8 and an S2000. She really makes front-wheel-drive an incredibly enjoyable thing.

Since having the belts & dephaser done and throttle body cleaned out by Mick @ Diamond, this little Clio has really come into her own and feels considerably perkier!

Wants for mine are:
Ktec Induction Kit (new style)
Ktec Recessed Exhaust
Eibach Sportline Pro Springs
Turini's (maybe...)

Then it'll be perfect!

I've started using my other car less and less, because I actually love driving my 172. And it costs peanuts to run.

It's just had new springs and dampers all round along with ball-joints, Cup wishbones and new bushes, new brakes, brake fluid and a set of Cup Turinis and I have to say it feels really tight.

Feel a bit sad for saying this, but I did something last night that I haven't done for YEARS - I actually went out for a drive, just for the sake of having a drive on some good, twisty roads.

  Arctic Blue 182 FF
I usually only keep a car 2 years at the most and some have only lasted a few months, and i have had a lot but this little 182 FF i have had for 2 years now and it still performs like the day i got it,i am still loving it and no plans to change it,have had M5s etc but for the money you cant buy better.
I am getting on a bit now so insurance for me last year was less than £250 fully comp so i really feel sorry for what all you young guys have to pay but well worth it for one of these clios

  BG 182
Mine needs 2 drive shafts (172 Cup ones are £250 each), wheel refurb and some of the body work needs tidying up. So at the moment I'm not completely happy but I cant wait to get it perfect so I can start to enjoy it fully!

in the land down under, it's a real love/hate relationship with a frog
parts & servicing are crazy expensive...not enough of them on the road here, and not every mechanic will work on them...need anything more than a basic service you just get referred to a euro specialist
but in any case it does make a man smile, even though it's just a 4-door 1.6.
i've had a few cars in my time, from jap 4's when i was younger, to big aussie cars with big engines in recent years...but i've never felt sentimental about a car when i still drove it
i've felt nostalgic & said ''i never should have sold that one''...but never had that love at the time.
renault pride is strong in me now

Well i've had my 182 since it was on 20k miles, I got it from a dealer for £10k and from the moment I test drove it till now, i've loved every moment. Its seen me through 4 or 5 long relationships and I can't sell it although I should at one point for a newer one (200). I recently spent £2800 get the bloody thing fixed and £350 on the RS192 and now it runs perfect. Its a brilliant car and does me perfectly. Also love it when someone idiot in his Volvo god knows what is on my back and I leave it for dust :)

Long live hot hatches - many french ones :drunk:

Loved every minute of my ownership. It will be missed greatly once it has gone.

  1995 Renault Clio 1.8 16v
Clio is between 70th and 80th car since started driving in 2003.
Absolutely love it for what it is, without a doubt my most favourite drive in any hatchback, would pick it over most things to go for a quick blast in, and it's pretty much standard! Great achievement by Renault IMO!!

my car is my arch enemy and plans on how to spend my hard earned money each month by needing bits :argue:
