Had my clio 182 5 days and somethings not right..

Anybody help me diagnose a problem..

When the car is driving i have a slight wine noise when in low RMP, when i floor the car i get a dull rattle right through the RMP range.. its a little concerning and im waiting for something to go wrong..

The previous owner told me the cambelt was changed about 4,000 miles ago and he gave me a receipt for £150 of parts.. it wasnt fitted by a Renault Specialist

Do you think i could just need the Aux belt changed? I dont think this was done with the cambelt.. I would love to have the cambelt redone by a specialist but i just cant afford it with the stupidly high insurance im paying :dapprove:

Any help is appreciated..

Check ur belt tensioners! I bet one has perished leaving the metal ring to rattle!

Well after reading a few more threads it looks like ill be splashing into the college fund :dapprove: Any Renault sport specialist in the Northwest that you can recommend? Hopefully any problems will be sorted soon
