Gen 90 Mapping

I a looking to get the ITB fitted in a month or so and the Gen 90 ECU. It should have a map of it suitable for my 172 but I want to get it custom mapped to make sure it is running at its best. Can most mappers Connect with the Gen 90?
Where is recommended in the North?
I presume RS Tuning is a good bet although they are still 5 hour round trip for me which might be a little worrying on a base map that doesn't match my exhaust system?

I've been to EFI too see a car he mapped (and took a passenger ride) and seems a top guy who knows his stuff would have no hesitation in taking a car there. @Chi

  dan's cast offs.
drove one that efi did that had been previously mapped by a 'specialist' was a lot better to drive after it had been done, kept the car for a good few days to sort the cold start map out as well.

Sounds like a plan then. My only issue would be the cold starting as I would prefer to get it done in a day whilst I was there rather than leave the car there. Early days yet but thanks for the information and I will plan to take it there when I have the ECU, ITB's and Exhaust on.

I agree with @bloke - a poor cold start map is a pain in the ass. Mine needs sorting and, over the last few days where the weather has been very cold and icy, it's made the car pretty much undriveable and a b!tch to start.

Chris is the only person who I'll be leaving mine with he sorted it out when the Cup was on standard cams and he'll be doing the Piper 285's, top man and it's his main job, I'll be leaving mine with him for a few days to sort out all the cold start problems you can get, I'm on a standard inlet not ITB's.

Regards Russ...
