Gearbox oil, can you mix... same viscosity / different brand

Quick question. I've bought 3x 1L bottles of 'Valoline GL-5 80w90 Gearbox oil to refill my gearbox after its been refurbished.

Then I remembered its 3.1L from dry.

If I get a 500ml bottle of carlube 80w90 just for that 100ml extra it might need will that be fine? Seems stupid to buy another 1L when I only need 10% of the bottle.

Viscosity doesnt matter if its slightly different anyway TBH, but type of oil can, im sure that will be fine though.

Damn. I'ts 75w80 correct as above, 75w90 thats ok to use as well and cheaper isnt it?

I thought Id bought the ok to use and cheaper 75w90 but seem to have got 80w90. Will this be ok to use or not?

You'll probably struggle to get 3 litres in nevermind 3.1

Drove around in my 1.2 with straight engine oil 8 years ago and I still see the car going around today lol.
