Passenger driveshaft has gone wrong on my car, so asked my dad to get me some EP 75w 80 gl4 gearbox oil when he was shopping so I can change the driveshaft.
The chap in the shop gave him,
EP 80w 90 gl5. My instant reaction is this can't be used, So I thought I'd ask on here.
Can it be used? Or is it a definite no no, I've read gl5 ruins the syncros or something of that sort.
Everywhere I've read is 75w, not 80w.
Hope someone can help and shed some light on this. Yes I've searched around on this website, But most of the talk on here is the sports so I don't want to get confused. Thanks
